Curriculum Trainer/Specialist
CGP Education, a publisher passionate about education, is currently seeking educators/teachers to play a vital role within our growing company. We are currently looking to fill the position of Curriculum Trainer/Specialist for the following 3 California regions:
- Los Angeles
- San Francisco (Bay Area)
- Sacramento
Position Summary:
The Curriculum Trainer/Specialist (CT) introduces CGP Education to the market, serves as a "peer" to our customers, and establishes the need and value that leads to successful, long-term partnerships. The CT's primary goal is to serve as a curriculum expert and provide the necessary tools to guarantee student success using the CGP mathematics program.
Position Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments with school and district influencers or decision makers to present CGP Education's mission to improve the CA educational system.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for educators on Math education methodology and the process of applying a curriculum program to the demands of a CA classroom setting.
- Use a variety of communication skills to create and manage key district relationships in order to develop our customer base throughout a particular segment of California's counties.
- Gather information from the field in meetings, conferences, workshops and research projects.
- Provide feedback and consultation to the Editorial team, based on previous experience and acquired market feedback, on specifics that assist in the development of winning products.
- Create accurate and detailed reports (both verbal and written) for the U.S. Management team.
- Collaborate with the U.S. Management team to help create the strongest support materials that may be used within the market during appointments, training sessions, conferences, etc.
- Demonstrate an ability to prioritize duties and multi-task in an efficient and effective manner.
- Travel throughout the region, visiting school and district staff, to assess needs and create personalized products, support, and/or solutions.
Requirements / Skills:
- Prior Math teaching experience is mandatory. CA Grades 6-12 and Math Degree(s) are preferred.
- Experience or knowledge of management at the school or district level is preferred, but not mandatory.
- An understanding of the methodology involved with textbook implementation decisions (from pilot program - to purchase - to training installation) is preferred, but training will be provided.
- Must be skilled in delivering verbal presentations and computer proficiency will be expected.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, as well as the ability to listen are required.
- Must be comfortable saying "I don't know" and creatively brainstorming possible solutions
- Must be able to work independently and be a good self-manager.
- Must share our passion for improving the CA educational system!
The CT position requires a unique blend of diverse experience, intelligent competitiveness, and a desire to constantly learn. Position will be based from home and report in to the Irvine, CA office.
